FilX PP-GF30 Black Filament is formulated with 30% glass fibre reinforced polypropylene copolymer offering superior strength and durability. Take your prints to the next level with this expertly crafted filament.
FilX PP-GF30 Black Filament (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene) is a composite material that offers greater strength and stiffness than PP alone. Its high chemical and mechanical resistance makes this filament ideal for printing parts for outdoor use that need to withstand high-stress situations.
Printing the first layer in PP GF30 is a challenge. Good adhesion is very important. PP-GF30 has a high shrinkage constant, and if it cools too quickly, it will warp and peel off the bed.
To prevent this from happening apply a good amount of adhesive and preheat the build surface to its operating temperature, leave it for a while to heat the build chamber as well. Make sure the printing surface is clean and levelled well. Before removing your finished print, let it cool as slowly as possible so it shrinks evenly and tensions ease. Once cool, carefully remove the print.
PP-GF30 has a high shrinkage constant, which means that it shrinks a lot when it cools down. This can cause the print to warp and create cracks. To prevent this from happening PP-GF30 should be printed in an enclosure without cooling. PP-GF30 exhibits less warping if the models are slightly tilted and there are no 90° overhangs.
Nozzle Temperature: 230-260°C
Bed temperature: 80°C +
We recommend using a hardened steel nozzle 0.6mm or larger as this material is abrasive.
