Payments can be made via Visa, Mastercard, direct bank transfer, Payfast, Payflex, BobPay. Online card transactions are securely processed by our payment partners. We do not store card details. Transactions may be refused if deemed fraudulent.

We may refuse or cancel orders at our discretion. You agree to provide current, accurate billing and contact information and to promptly update your account.
10. User Comments and Submissions
Any submissions (suggestions, plans, etc.) sent to us may be used without restriction. We are not obligated to maintain confidentiality, compensate, or respond. You agree not to post content violating any third-party rights.
11. Errors and Omissions
Occasionally there may be inaccuracies in pricing, descriptions, promotions, etc. We reserve the right to correct such errors and cancel orders as needed.

18. Governing Law
Use of this website is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including but not limited to:
• The Copyright Act No. 98 of 1978, which governs ownership of original works including digital 3D models.
• The Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008, which governs consumer rights in relation to goods and services.
• The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act No. 25 of 2002 (ECTA), governing online agreements and digital services.
South African courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms.
19. Custom Design Work & Intellectual Property
All custom 3D models or CAD files created by 3D Print Lab cc remain our intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Design Fees
• A flat design fee of R100 applies to all custom design requests. This fee is the minimum charge for any custom design work.
• Where a design is considered complex or time-intensive, additional fees will be charged at a rate of R250 per hour for design time. This will be quoted upfront or discussed with the client where applicable.
Scope of Rights Granted
• These design fees cover only the creation and use of the physical printed item.
• You do not automatically receive any ownership rights to the underlying digital files (e.g. STL, CAD, or design files).
• 3D Print Lab cc retains all rights unless explicitly transferred in writing.
IP Ownership & Legal Context
Under the Copyright Act No. 98 of 1978, original digital designs qualify for copyright protection. Ownership remains with the creator unless formally assigned.
Purchasing IP or Design Files
If you wish to acquire ownership of the CAD file or any associated intellectual property, this must be arranged by custom quotation based on:
• Design complexity
• Reusability potential
• Intended commercial use
A written agreement will be required for IP transfer, and full payment must be made before any transfer is completed. Without such an agreement, all rights remain with 3D Print Lab cc.
Reuse & Exclusivity
We reserve the right to reuse, modify, or resell designs unless:
• A formal agreement is signed
• A fee for exclusivity or ownership is paid
Clients are responsible for ensuring that any references or sample parts provided do not infringe third-party IP rights. We accept no liability for disputes arising from reproductions based on client-submitted materials.
20. Licensing Option
Where applicable, 3D Print Lab cc may offer a license-to-use for digital designs. This license:
• Is non-exclusive and non-transferable
• Applies only to specific agreed-upon uses
• Does not imply ownership transfer
Licenses will be documented and priced according to scope and use, in line with the Copyright Act No. 98 of 1978.
21. Production, Turnaround & Delivery
Estimated production and delivery timelines will be communicated upon quotation. Delays may occur due to load shedding, supply issues, or other unforeseen events. We are not liable for any delay caused by external circumstances beyond our control.
22. 3D Printed Parts Disclaimer
IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
This section limits the liability of 3D Print Lab cc and imposes obligations on the customer.
- General Limitations
All 3D printed parts are produced using additive manufacturing processes that inherently involve variability in material properties, strength, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish. These parts are not guaranteed to perform in the same manner as injection-moulded or machined components. - No Guarantee of Strength or Durability
Due to the nature of 3D printing, we cannot guarantee the mechanical strength, durability, or suitability of any printed part for a specific purpose. Parts may exhibit weaknesses, internal voids, or defects that are not visible on the surface. - Safety and High-Risk Applications
Our products must not be used in critical applications where failure could result in personal injury, death, or property damage. Examples include, but are not limited to, structural components, load-bearing parts, safety equipment, medical devices, or automotive/aerospace parts. - Environmental Factors
3D printed materials can degrade when exposed to heat, UV light, moisture, chemicals, or mechanical stress. Customers should take these factors into account when determining suitability. - Dimensional Accuracy and Fit
While every effort is made to produce accurate parts, variations in dimensions, tolerances, and surface quality may occur due to printer calibration, material shrinkage, and design complexity. Minor deviations are considered normal in additive manufacturing. - Food Safety Warning
3D printed parts are not food-safe, even if produced with materials marketed as food-safe. The layer-by-layer process creates microscopic pores that can harbour bacteria, and contamination may occur during printing or handling. Do not use 3D printed parts in contact with food, beverages, or consumable products. - Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that the part is suitable for its intended use. 3D Print Lab cc makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the fitness of any product for a particular purpose. - Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, 3D Print Lab cc shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of 3D printed parts, regardless of whether the part was designed by us or by the customer.
23. Returns & Refunds
Due to the custom nature of our products, refunds are only issued for defective or incorrect items reported within 7 days of receipt. Design fees are non-refundable once work has commenced. Replacement prints may be offered at our discretion.

24. Privacy, Cookies, and Data Handling
We collect personal and billing information solely for the purpose of processing orders and communicating with customers. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
