Engineered for performance where it matters most, SA Filament ASA Black is built for demanding outdoor and engineering applications. Offering outstanding UV resistance, superior weather resistance, and exceptional durability, this filament is the ideal choice for parts that need to withstand the elements without degrading, fading, or becoming brittle over time.
Unlike standard PLA or even ABS, SA Filament ASA Black maintains its strength and appearance even after prolonged exposure to sunlight and outdoor conditions, making it a go-to material for functional, long-lasting parts. From outdoor fixtures and enclosures to automotive components and engineering-grade parts, SA Filament ASA Black is built to perform where standard materials fall short.
Why ASA?
- Excellent UV resistance
- Superior weather resistance
- High durability and strength
- Ideal for outdoor applications
- Perfect for automotive and engineering parts
Whether you’re producing outdoor signage, drone parts, automotive trim, or functional prototypes that need to survive real-world conditions, SA Filament ASA Black delivers the strength and weather resistance to get the job done.
Printing Tip: ASA prints best with a heated bed (90-100°C) and nozzle temperatures around 240-260°C. An enclosed printer is highly recommended to minimise warping and layer separation, as ASA is sensitive to rapid temperature changes and drafts. Printing in a well-ventilated area is also advised, as ASA can emit fumes similar to ABS during printing.
