The Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga is a large-format industrial 3D Printer

The Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga is an industrial-grade FDM 3D printer that redefines what’s possible for makers, prototypers, and production environments. It bridges the gap between hobbyist and professional use, this machine is built for those who refuse to compromise on scale, speed, or quality.

Build Volume & Scale

With a massive build volume of 800mm x 800mm x 1000mm, the Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga offers almost unlimited possibilities for large projects without the need to split models into smaller sections. This enables the production of full-scale automotive bumper moulds, wing jigs for aerospace tooling, and other large industrial parts in a single, uninterrupted run.

Frame & Construction

The printer features an elegant and durable integrated housing. The X and Y axes use linear guides that improve printing stability and extend service life, while the Z-axis employs a robust guide rod for smooth operation and precise levelling. The base is fitted with round carbon feet with anti-slip rubber pads. The 104 kg steel frame reduces harmonic resonance by 75% at 200 mm/s, supporting continuous, high-demand operation.

Modular Heated Bed

The heated bed consists of four independent magnetic PEI build plates, each measuring 410mm x 410mm, capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 100°C. All four platforms can be heated simultaneously, reaching full temperature across the entire surface in approximately 17 minutes. The advanced alogirthm automatically detect which platform is in use and heat only that zone, saving energy — though each platform can also be manually controlled independently.

Speed & Processing Power

Powered by a Rockchip RK3328 quad-core processor running at 1.5 GHz, the Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga executes CoreXY kinematics at a maximum speed of 300 mm/s with acceleration up to 5,000 mm/s². This is up to six times faster than other 3D printers of comparable size, with a recommended printing speed of 150 mm/s for optimal results.

Extrusion System

The printer features an optimised high-temperature nozzle capable of reaching 300°C. It uses a dual-gear direct drive extruder with a titanium alloy heat break and a 60W ceramic heater for rapid, stable thermal performance. The standard included nozzle is 0.6 mm, with optional 0.4 mm, 0.8 mm, and 1.0 mm nozzles available separately. At full flow, the 0.6 mm brass nozzle delivers 35 mm³/s.

Multi-Nozzle Printing

Three additional printheads can be mounted to the X-axis, enabling simultaneous four-nozzle printing. This allows four identical models to be produced at once, or the same model to be printed in four different colours by loading different filaments into each nozzle.

Auto-Levelling

The 100-point (10×10 grid) inductive auto-levelling system reduces first-layer variance to ≤0.02 mm across the full 820 × 820 mm build surface. One-click levelling makes setup straightforward, even on a printer of this scale.

Cooling System

The Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga is equipped with robust two-sided cooling: two 5015 blower fans and one 4010 axial fan. An intelligent control function automatically shuts the fans off when printing completes, saving energy and reducing noise while extending fan lifespan. An integrated acceleration sensor also automatically calibrates resonance compensation parameters for improved print quality.

Connectivity & Interface

The printer connects via USB, LAN, and WiFi, and features a 10.1-inch HD capacitive touchscreen that can be detached from the body for handheld operation. The interface supports eight languages: English, French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin.

Filament Compatibility

Compatible with PLA, PETG, TPU, and Nylon. The steel spool holder accommodates spools up to 5kg, well-suited to the scale of prints this machine produces. Automatic filament detection and power-loss recovery are built in.

Cable Management

All cables are routed through special cable rails (caterpillar tracks) to protect them from dust, contamination, wear, and breakage — a thoughtful touch on a machine designed for long, demanding print runs.

In the Box

The Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga ships as an assembly kit across two boxes and includes: the printer frame and components, one printhead, touchscreen, two levelling plates, spool holder and arm, two filament breakage detectors, Z-axis end stops and cable clips, filament guide assembly, a freestanding 5kg spool holder, power cable, levelling card, lubricating grease, corner brackets, tools, fasteners, and a manual.
