1. RETURNS

1.1 Non-Defective Products – Right to “Cool Off”

In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions (ECT) Act, you may return non-defective, unopened items within 7 (seven) working days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unused and in its original, undamaged packaging.
  • The original proof of purchase is supplied.
  • You notify 3D Print Lab cc of your intention to return within the 7-day period.

You are entitled to a full refund, less a 5% handling fee. You will be responsible for any damage incurred to the product while in your possession.

Important Notes:

  • No returns will be accepted after 3 months from the purchase date.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure compatibility of products before purchasing. If unsure, please consult the manufacturer or contact our team.

1.2 Incorrect Product Delivered

If you receive an incorrect item:

  • Do not open or use the product.
  • Contact us immediately so we can arrange a prompt return and send the correct item.

 

2. FAULTY OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

2.1 Reporting a Fault

  • Defects must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
  • For items reported between 15 days and 3 months post-delivery, the product will undergo a technical inspection.

2.2 Inspection and Fees

  • If no fault is found, a 10% assessment fee will apply.
  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility if no fault is found.
  • If a defect is confirmed, we may offer a replacement, repair, or refund, at our discretion.

2.3 Damage During Shipping

  • If you notice visible damage upon delivery, please refuse the delivery.
  • If damage is noticed only after opening, report it within 24 hours.

2.4 What Is Not Covered

The following are excluded from refunds or warranty claims:

  • Damage due to misuse, neglect, tampering, or improper installation;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Software, opened consumables, and filament spools;
  • Product incompatibility with your existing equipment unless the item is defective.

 

3. WARRANTY POLICY (CARRY-IN ONLY)

All 3D printers, 3D scanners, and equipment are covered by a 6-month carry-in warranty, unless otherwise stated.

What Carry-In Means:

  • You are responsible for delivering the item to our facility in Pretoria at your own cost.
  • You are also responsible for collecting or arranging the return delivery of the item.
  • We do not cover any logistics or courier charges under this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:

The warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, modification, or third-party tampering;
  • Damage due to power surges, improper handling, or negligence;
  • Consumables such as filaments, nozzles, or hotends (unless otherwise specified);
  • Items that have been opened or altered by anyone other than an authorized technician.

If a valid defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the item at no cost (excluding shipping).

 

4. REFUND PROCEDURE

Refunds are processed after:

  • Receipt and inspection of the returned item;
  • Confirmation that the return meets the policy criteria.

Refunds will be issued using the same method of payment unless otherwise arranged.

Note: A repackaging or restocking fee of up to 20% may apply in certain cases (e.g., opened or damaged packaging).
